Terms & conditions
ORIENTATE is a downloadable newsletter service ( "the Service ") provided by
Applied Market Information Ltd. ( "AMI "). The following terms and conditions apply
to use of the Service, the materials and information it contains as well as access
to AMI’s BOPP film database ( "Materials ") by individual subscribers ( "Subscribers ").
References to Unauthorised Person mean any person who is not a Subscriber.
1. Licence
Subscribers to ORIENTATE may use the Service for their own private or business research
and for this purpose may: a. Display the Materials on screen b. Make a single printout
of the Materials for personal use or for circulation within the same location. c.
Download and store in machine readable form a single copy of the Materials primarily
for the subscriber’s own personal use.
2. Restrictions on use
Subscribers may not: a. Make multiple printouts or copies of the Materials for distribution
to Unauthorised Persons b. Forward electronic copies of the Materials to Unauthorised
Persons c. Re-sell the Service or any part of the Materials to others d. Make the
Service or any Materials available to Unauthorised Persons on a local area network,
a wide area network or any internet or extranet. Subscribers who are found in breach
of these restrictions will be liable for the full subscription cost for each unauthorised
copy circulated.
3. Passwords and Security
Passwords to download ORIENTATE are for the personal use of the Subscriber only
and may not be made available to Unauthorised Persons for the purposes of additional
downloads. If AMI suspects that a password is being used by an Unauthorised Person
AMI may cancel the service, without compensation.
4. Copyright
Copyright and intellectual property rights of all material in ORIENTATE (in both
downloadable and printed form) belongs to AMI. No content may be reproduced in any
form, by any means, whether electrical, mechanical, optical or any other or be stored
on an intranet without the written permission of the publisher.
5. Cancellations
Subscriptions cover 10 issues payable in advance and are non-refundable.
6. Limitation of liability
AMI has made every effort to ensure that the information given in ORIENTATE is accurate
and correct, but no legal responsibility is accepted for any errors or omissions
in that information whether such errors or omissions result from negligence, accident
or any other cause, and no responsibility is accepted with regard to the standing
of any firms or companies mentioned. While AMI takes reasonable precautions to prevent
computer viruses and other malicious programs on ORIENTATE, no liability is accepted
for them.
7. Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the Laws of England
and any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
